These are the issues that this session will deal with. I will demonstrate a basic module update and the usage of update.php and show how to upgrade Drupal within a version for example drupal 6.16 to drupal 6.17
This is a very beginner session and also something very important to the life of your drupal site. Drupal is more like “free as in kittens” than “free as in beer”. It is very important to keep up with your modules and core updates.

Great idea for a session! Many people need to learn and see these fundamentals in practice. Thank you, Nicole, for offering this session to camp attendees.
Quick question about your metaphor
Just a quick question regarding your metaphor, “free as in kittens” not “free as in beer.” Free beer is drunk once and then forgotten about, a free kitten has to be cared for, fed constantly, taken to the vet, immunized, etc. Is this what you meant? (Silly question, but I was just curious.)

Yes, that is exactly what I meant. Kittens are awesome, like Drupal and also require constant maintenance proper care and feeding (like Drupal).
