Duration:
Two hours

So you’ve heard of this OpenAtrium thing, and heard the chatter about Context, Features and Spaces. You’ve installed Atrium, but the Black Box is confusing.

This session will:

  • Briefly recap the features and functionality of OpenAtrium as a Community & Intranet-targeted Drupal Distribution.
  • Explain the concepts behind Context, Spaces, and Features that make it possible.
  • Demonstrate how to customize your own OpenAtrium site.
  • Go over a Case Study for an OpenAtrium site built as a Drupal Community.

Co-Presenting with Jim Woods/redkilian.

Context and Features

Submitted by druroot on Tue, 2010-08-03 12:11.

I was just wondering how much this session will go into the use of context and features. I was thinking of doing a session on how I use these two modules to organize and mange sites, but I was wondering how much overlap there will be with what you’re going over in this session.

Covering Context & Features

Submitted by grayside on Thu, 2010-08-05 10:00.

This session is about how these modules work more than how to build them into your development workflow and site architecture.

Your session looks like it goes into greater depth in how to use these as a developer.

The Musician Stack also looks like it will cover Features & Context, though given the large scope of that presentation I’m not sure how much detail it will go to in actually building out contexts and features.

Lastly, Professional Staging & Deployment will discuss deployment strategies using Features.
