DrupalCamp LA: Less Than Two Weeks Away!
Our awesome DrupalCamp is less than two weeks away! Spanning two days, August 7-8, the city of Irvine will hear the Drupal battle drums overtake their local university. With already over 30 sessions published and hundreds of fellow Drupal users pre-registered for this free event -- this is clearly the Drupal event you won't want to miss!
Some awesome news to share with everyone: NEW sponsors, NEW camp shirts for sale, and our SATURDAY NIGHT PRIVATE PARTY is being sponsored by MediaTemple. More details below, and online at: http://2010.drupalcampla.com/information
Saturday Nighttime Event sponsored by MediaTemple
Our newest Gold level sponsor MediaTemple has made our camp even more special by sponsoring a private party for DrupalCamp attendees at the Anthill Pub, Saturday night from 7PM-Midnight. The Pub will have their kitchen open for dinner so you will be able to purchase something to eat while hanging out. You'll want to bring cash; so take note of the ATM machines next to the Pub.
New camp shirts for sale!
New awesome camp t-shirts will be on sale at the camp for only $10 (a 50% discount for camp attendees). Last year we only sold shirts online, before and after the camp, now for the first time we will have special limited edition shirts for sale during the camp. Each is only $10 and will be available in various sizes for both men and women. You won't want to be without one of these beauties; they are high quality cotton shirts. If you wait until after the camp to order your shirt it will cost almost twice as much plus shipping and taxes. Bring cash, please.

The camp will have air conditioning thanks to our sponsors, so don't worry about the Summer heat that weekend. Bring cash for a new $10 camp t-shirt you won't want to pass up (50% off the online price). Cash is also good to have on hand for your lunch and parking. If this is news to you then you need to catch up on the info we have posted online for the camp. And, yes, there are some ATMs on campus. If you are coming from out of town then check out the housing details on our camp site to stay on or near campus like the other fellow DrupalCampers. For all the camp details please visit: http://2010.drupalcampla.com/information
This is a community event. We need volunteers to help setup in the morning, help through the day, and help with cleanup at the end. Its not hard labor and its needed so please consider volunteering. Details are available at: http://2010.drupalcampla.com/information/volunteers
Presentations & Sessions
We have over 30 sessions posted online for the camp and we expect more to appear, so please make sure you pick the sessions that you like so we can place them in the right sized rooms. http://2010.drupalcampla.com/sessions
We are still accepting new sessions to be submitted. We ask that you hurry with your submissions because people need to pick it in time for us to find the right room for your session.
If you just want to spark a BoF (Birds of a feather) then submit it as a session and mark it as a BoF then watch others with the same interest join in. You don't even have to have a presentation for a BoF, just a thirst for learning and sharing.
Are you presenting? Then get ready before the camp
We ask all those who plan to or already have submitted a session to please read the info online about what we need you to install on your machines to perfectly record your session to later share as a video with camp attendees and Drupal community members worldwide. http://2010.drupalcampla.com/information/presenters
We could not pull this event off without the support of the community and our wonderful sponsors and we still need your help! Please consider sponsoring; info available at: http://2010.drupalcampla.com/sponsorship - we need your help.
