The UC Irvine campus is about 4 miles from Orange County John Wayne Airport (SNA). OCTA can get you from the airport to UCI, with some walking. See the travel page for full details.

UC Irvine has negotiated discounted rates with many hotels near the airport and UCI (in Costa Mesa, Irvine and Newport Beach). Several hotels provide a shuttle to/from the airport, and to/from UCI. Be sure to verify with the hotel whether shuttle service is offered and whether there is a fee for this service. There is a drop-off zone near 25 E. Peltason Dr, Irvine, CA, near the Engineering quad.

On-campus housing

UC Irvine has short-term on-campus housing in Campus Village. These are two-bedroom apartments, featuring a living room, bedrooms, a kitchen (equipped with a refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishware, silverware, and cookware), dinette area and private bathroom. Sleeps 1-4 people (two single beds in each bedroom). Rates are $76/night for 1 person, $100/night for 2 people, $136/night for 3-4 people.

It is suggested you reserve on-line well in advance. Payment is due in full at time of check-in at the Campus Village Housing Office. Payments can be made in the form of cash, personal check, travelers check, money order (payable to "Regents U.C.") or university recharge. Visa and Mastercard payments will be accepted, but the processing of a Visa/MasterCard payment must occur at least 10 days prior to check-in date. You will be asked to provide your Visa/Mastercard information on your confirmation form in order for them to manually process this information. They will not accept credit card payments at the time of check-in. Post in the forum if you need a roommate.
